No longer my mother's quilt.
I made this one many years ago for my mother. She died before I finished it. Sigh. I finished it soon after her passing and put it in a box in the basement. Every few years I would take it out and look at it, and it reminded me of her, and her last few weeks. So, back into the box it would go. But this spring I took it out, and the bad memories are gone. It is no longer my mother's quilt. It was just a pretty pink quilt that needed a home. So I gave it away, because pink just isn't for me. Mom would be happy knowing it's no longer hiding in a box. This was made before precuts. All those pinks were bought as yardage and cut individually! How much easier it would have been to buy a few pink charm packs!
