Labour of love, parts one and two

The quili is Labour part one. It is made from a kit I was given but I didn't like the design so I added more fabric and it made queen size. The bed runner includes a sashiko piece I did while my daughter was in labour with her first born. The labour was 36+ hours with c section at the end. Every baby is a miracle but in Artie's case he was special because my daughter, Jacinda had 19 IVF attempts. Almost 4 years later we celebrated Matilda's first birthday. The bed runner was made from leftover blocks and strips.
