54, forty or fight

I like the illusion of curved piecing in the 54 forty or fight quilt pattern. I watched the Missouri star tutorial which really simplified the piecing. I used two different gray fabrics in the background with the lighter in the center blocks which kind of gives a medallion effect. I wanted to quilt it simply and quickly but of course that didn't happen.... Feathers, swirls, and curved dot to dot with a ruler. This is for the full size bed in the guest room. Quilt is 88x82 inches so has a nice drop on the bed. Now just need to make a couple of coordinating shams....
