autumn table runner

We needed a table runner for our 9 foot table. I used the side kick ruler by Julie Herman to cut the diamonds and triangles for this project. I enjoyed playing around with the layout and tried to include some negative space for the quilting to show. It turned out just a bit too wide so it interferes with drinking glasses during dinner. I would hate to see a glass of wine spilled in it! I finished it just after Thanksgiving so it will be put away until next year. Now I need to hurry and get something together for Christmas!
