scrap pineapple

My scrap bins were getting a bit full. This small quilt was an attempt to reduce the abundance of scraps I have accumulated over the past five years when I began quilting. I contains a little fabric from almost every project. I really enjoyed making these blocks. I used the pineapple trim tool and made the blocks just a bit bigger by adding a few additional rounds of strips than the tool allows. The quilting is simple serpentine lines in each piece and small "carnations" in the red centers. This is a great block for using smaller scraps, the width of each strip used was 1.5 inches.
