Baby quilt for the floor

My first grandchild is on the way so I plan to make plenty of quilts, garments and doll clothes for her. I'm so excited!! My daughter chose a woodland theme for the nursery, but this quilt will probably be used in their living room. Babies aren't supposed to be covered with a blanket for several months so I decided to make one for her to lay upon on the floor. I used two layers of thick cotton batting to make it a little more cushy. The fabric collection is called Forest Fellows by Robert Kaufman. I modified their free pattern to use smaller blocks. I used designs from Ace Points Embroidery and a coordinating panel for the pieced backing.
