Frogs, Bugs and Bearding

We are in the midst of the COVID19 pandemic, so I've kept myself busy by sewing. I used scraps of the Meadow Friends collection from a previous project and I ordered the fabric for the sashing and backing online from JoAnn's for curbside pickup. I used Hobb's 80/20 batting for the first time, and I had a problem with bearding. I searched online and discovered that bearding can be caused by loosely woven fabric, polyester in the batting, or a large needle. I switched to a smaller needle, and that helped. The quilt measured 53 1/2 x 44 1/2 before washing; 50 1/4 x 42 1/2 after washing.
