Suey's Fleece Quilt

This was my very first quilt! I'd taken a sewing class about 6 months prior so I could learn to make clothes for my little hairless Chinese Crested, Suey. I made most of his stuff from fleece, and I decided to make a quilt with the leftover remnants. It was a challenge to pass so much bulk through my machine, but boy, it sure is a warm cozy quilt! Of course, this quilt is special as my very first, but I know it will become even more precious as the years pass. When I look at it, I see all the little outfits I've made for my darling dog (and some of his doggie friends, too). He especially loves the binding part of the quilting process when he gets to cuddle with me and a quilt as I hand sew.
