Broken Dishes table topper

My sister gave me a layer cake some time ago. The fabric collection is called “Strawberry Fizz”. One day, my daughter and I were rearranging the half square triangles. I was thinking of alternating pinwheels and magic diamonds…but my daughter came up with this pattern not knowing the pattern name. I just found out from a commenter on a YouTube video, the pattern is called “Broken Dishes”. The fabric has both strawberries and cherries in it, but the cherries were more dominant. So I chose a cherry quilt pattern, done in a red thread.
