Summer Hand Bag
I was watching a tutorial on You Tube by Debbie Shore. She made a cute summer bag, so I decided to make one for myself, and one for my daughter. The only hardware on this bag is a magnetic closure on the inside flap. It didn't call for any zippers or slip pockets, so I made three slip pockets on one side of inside lining. It has a simple top stitch around the opening of the bag , the flap edge, and on both sides of the shoulder strap. The strap is long enough for a shoulder bag, or a cross body. The top of the outer strap has decorative flower buttons sewn on it. I used a foam batting for this bag to give it more structure. I love that it is light weight, and washable!
