Friends Forever

I made this quilt for a dear friend of mine. We've been friends for over 30 years. We live far away now but whenever we talk it's like we saw each other yesterday. Her favorite color is pink. I had the Fruitful Pleasures layer cake pack I purchased from a Daily Deal so I went in search of a pattern. I ended up using Jenny's Calico Star pattern and omitted the sashing between the blocks. It created secondary designs, which was a happy surprise. She received it in the mail yesterday and called me, crying. I'm glad she loved it.
