Jim and Morgan's Binding Tool Star Quilt

My son's wife is a nurse working nights at the hospital. So, she wanted a dark bedroom, since she'd be sleeping during the day. Well, I made them a modern dark quilt and they painted the three walls chocolate fudge brown and teal to go with that quilt. My son hates the bedroom. Doesn't mind that quilt, but he can't wait for his wife to move to day shift so he can lighten the bedroom. In talking to him, I realized he wanted something beachy. Light, airy, and like the sea. That's about the time the Binding Tool Star tutorial came out. When the kids came up for spring break, I showed them what colors I wanted to use. Not realizing that the colors are very similar to the quilt they already have sans the brown borders. I hope they love it. There are already a lot of folks that have offered to take it, even before the kids see it in person!
