Jonathan's Big Boy Quilt

Jonathan, at two years of age became a big brother. He graciously accepted the promotion to a big boy bed. His dad requested a quilt that would grow with him from twin to double, etc. Jonathan's quilt was a chore, bless it's fabric. I did the dumbest thing, I trimmed my first set of squares to what the pattern called for, before I made the second set of blocks. Low and behold the two blocks did NOT come out to the same measurements. I should have waited before I trimmed. It all worked out, with a lot of fussin' and fuming. But the very best thing of all. When we arrived in Fl. to see the baby sister and give Jonathan his quilt. He fell in love with it. It had to go on his big boy bed immediately! For quite a while, they had no trouble getting him to bed. Just let's go get under the quilt, was all it took.
