It's All About the Fabric

I had a design roll of Kaffe Fassett fabric for a couple of years and didn't know how to best use it without cutting the pieces up too small and losing the glorious fabric designs. I decided that diamonds would be ideal and the black sashing would make the colors pop. I've never made a diamond pattern before and I didn't even have a diamond template to use! So I used my 60-degree triangle ruler to make the shapes. Sewing with biased edges was tricky but I'm very happy with how this quilt came out. I used a beautiful blue fabric for the backing.
