Lulu
This is Lulu, a wall hanging in the Steampunk style. I made her from the Robin's Nest quilt pattern "Perpetual Motion," I found at Underground Quilts in Seattle in 2015. The quilting was done by Beth Chase. I named her Lulu in honor of my mother, Lucille Gavin Garde, who was, as she progressed through life, always a lady. Judging from some of her life's adventures, maybe a photo or two of her when she was barely out of her teens, I always thought she might have had dreams of a livelier nature. Maybe not quite to this level, but it does seem to be just the right name for a little old lady whose nieces and nephews called her "Aunt Lulu" when they were young.
