Basket of Fresh Lilacs!

My oldest daughter was born in April, the week the Lilacs bloom. So, my mother who was a flower gardener, brought me a beautiful bouquet of lilacs to the hospital, and the nurses promptly began to argue over who might I give them to when I left! Ever since her birth, for years, my mother gave my daughter a bouquet of lilacs for her birthday. When she saw the Fresh Lilacs by Debbie Beaves by Maywood Studios on Missouri Star Quilt Co. website, she called me! She begged me to make her a quilt from this collection. Since she also LOVES baskets and has them all over her house, I decided to put the lilacs in baskets with a pattern I found online and make a Basket of Fresh Lilacs quilt for her! Here is my first block just completed today!
