Block Rescue

Block Rescue

Working at our local senior center families would often donate crafting and sewing supplies that a family member could no longer use. Quilt blocks and other UFO's were often in the boxes and bags. The donated items were either completed and sold or the materials sold to benefit the center. Only nineteen of these beautiful blocks were donated and no one would buy them so I did. To finish the quilt I had a twentieth block embroidered telling what I knew about the blocks. Now with twenty blocks it made a lovely quilt for our son and daughter-in-law. I hand quilted the blocks and tried my hand at machine quilting on the border. All blocks deserve to be appreciated and enjoyed.
