Life is a Picnic

A cousins wedding gift. My cousin Sharon had been a widow for five years and has been blessed to find a true love again. Both are in their 70's and lost spouses to cancer at about the same time. They met on Catholic Match and thank God everyday for the gift of love and marriage. The quilt is a picnic quilt that I quilted on my Brother machine using a Westalee Sew Steady template for the body of the quilt and free motion on the border. The templates are still new to me but I am pleased with this result. The quilt was given as a shower gift and packaged in a vintage picnic basket.
