Soft Hues in Blue

I am currently working on a large quilt, am a little bored with it and needed a break. So I started playing with some soft blue and white fabrics and created this little table topper. My everyday dishes and serving pieces are Polish Pottery and I thought the colors would compliment my dishes. Although pretty in itself, I thought the star needed something more, so I used my small Orange Peel Template, backed two 5" squares with Peel and iron-on backing, cut out 8 "peels" and appliquéd them in the center by using a narrow zig zag stitch.
