Observer Log Cabin Quilt

Quilt no.22! I originally wanted to use the pack of April Rhodes Observer fat quarters for the beloved Swoon pattern, until I stumbled across a log cabin quilt with this fabric. Although I wasn’t able to stick to the usual light/dark color transition of a log cabin block, I love how the random placement turned out and the contrast between the gold and blue. It’s rather on the small side, but I love it as a lap quilt on the couch right now.
