Crystal Stars, aka "Ocular Migraine."

The "aka" came from my husband. The design was inspired by “Sumptuous” from Connecting Threads, which was only available as a kit. http://www.connectingthreads.com/Kits/Sumptuous_Quilt_Kit__D8302.HTML Most of the fabrics came from my stash. I eliminated a lot of the seams by making a star block and an alternate block, described in my blog post from September 2014. http://quiltwithus.connectingthreads.com/profiles/blogs/high-fiber-blocks-boxes-and-boxtrolls My friend Julie took nearly a year to quilt it. Her quilting was worth the wait.
