Ruthie's Lap Quilt

A friend of mine of 40 years recently sent me a package of old precut quilt squares that she'd picked up through the years, but had never managed to get them made into a quilt. To thank her, I sorted through them and then sewed them into 9 patch blocks which I cut up to make the disappearing 9 patch block. I used fleece as a backing because it gets cold on her farm & i wanted her to have something to keep her feet warm in the winter.
