The Elephant

I saw a sample of ‘The Elephant and I’ quilt by Jennifer Sampou in a shop and had to get the pattern. After collecting a good variety of Kaffe Fassett fabrics, my paper pieced elephant was ready to go wild with colour. Big stitch quilting with perle cotton around the elephant along with echo quilting inside makes it stand out on the low volume BG that is quilted asymmetrically in vertical lines. I deceived not to include the human on the quilt as in the original pattern as I just wanted the elephant to shine.
