Quilt for a Friend

My husband is temporarily working in Nashville. He is staying with a guy from our church who is providing him a decent place to stay with excellent rates. A few weeks ago, my husband called and asked me to make a quilt for this man. Apparently, he had some old blanket he was using and it fell apart in the washer. I used Colors of Freedom fabric by Jennifer Pugh from Wilmington Prints. It is a patriotic themed fabric and included is a panel that matches. It is a fairly simple design-layer cakes surround the center panel.
