Slices

This is a quilt I quilted from a preprinted panel from PatternJam. I had not used one before and I had trouble doing free motion on my machine. I changed the needle, cleaned it, repeatedly changed the tension and it still wouldn't quilt properly. My mother suggested that it might be the fabric. I think she was right. I had not washed it before making it into a sandwich and I tried quilting with my Pfaff IDT, and it worked much better. I have another panel that I have created and printed at PatternJam and I washed it today before quilting and it is much softer and I think, more pliable to be quilted.
