Hexagon Quilt w/Half-Hexi Template

One of my New Year's resolutions this year was to USE the templates that I have. So I decided to use the 5-inch half-hexi template and make a hexi quilt. I started with the Lucky Penny quilt pattern and modified it a bit. I was going for a "hippie" look (go flower power!) with the wild "psychedelic" colors (Kaffe Fassett Sunbeam plus kiwi green yardage). The Sunbeam charm pack also had some darker green squares, so I used those sewing the half-hexis back-to-back to give it sort of a butterfly look. I don't have any borders added yet, but this is what the top looks like so far. It's so bright, maybe I should have taken the photo in the shade. LOL
