Dale Earnhardt Remembrance

My brother, Gary was is real fan of the NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt. He was killed over 10 years ago and my brother still misses him. He ask me if when I made him a quilt could it have red fabric in memory of Dale Earnhardt. I didn't tell him but thought if I was lucky I might find some laying around someplace. I only found 1 piece but that was enough. I used the black and white effervescent which gave the look of chrome. I did the Checkmark Bargello by Susie Weaver. I am very please with the results and Gary was blown away when he saw it. 2015 County Fair was in our city and this quilt took a 1st Place Ribbon and Best In Show Ribbon. Very excited because we have some amazing quilters in this city.
