Accidental Tree Skirt

This is one pattern I hadn't really thought of for a Christmas tree skirt. In making another skirt I errored in adjusting the size and it was way too big. I totally dis-assembled it and trimmed each block down to size. The cut off pieces were almost the right size for the binding tool star. I couldn't bear to waste the fabric, so I played with it a bit and this is what I came up with.This skirt is 60". I've never added machine embroidery before either but the light areas were so large it just seemed they needed it
