A Warm Winter's Hug

This quilt I started in early December 2014. About mid Dec. I developed a serious medical issue that really sapped my strength. But I did a bit of sewing every day because it makes me happy. Then, suddenly my beloved husky x dog of 8 years became gravely ill and died ( all within 4 hours). I was heart broken. I used the making of this quilt to deal with my grief. As I live alone, the quiet was deafening! My original plan was to sell this quilt when it was done. I rarely keep any quilts for myself as I am always making them for someone else. But this quilt saw me through a very rough winter and in my home it will stay. It will be a reminder of my beloved dog, This quilt was very relaxing to do and the free motion quilting was done on my domestic machine and represents the north wind.
