Pieced Geese
I received a box of fabric from a colleague. It contained leftover pieces from projects that she has taught with high school students. Most of the pieces were irregular 1" strips. What to do with small pieces? A surfing expedition lead me to a version of "Geese Migration" (designed by Cynthia Brunz, and originally published by Quilty) on the SewMamaSew blog. I didn't have large enough pieces for the original pattern, so I used it as inspiration to design my own. The part that is shown above will finish to a 9" square. I will rotate four of these to make the block according the the diagram below.
