For the Lover of Red

This design was our "beginner quilt" for the quilt group I joined in 2011. My daughter, who grew up in Japan, was beginning to show a distinct preference for the color red. I decided this, my first by-the rules quilt, would be for her. So, my fabric search included colors and prints I knew she might appreciate. She had no children at the time, and though the quilt is not quite large enough to be a lap quilt, I assured her it was not a baby quilt, either. I list it here, however, as baby quilt because of it's size. The mini version of this is also pictured among my completed projects.
