Leo's Coin Quilt

A friend and co-worker had tried unsuccessfully to have children and decided to adopt. Due to high costs of fertility treatments and the high cost of adoption, I made this quilt to auction off to help raise money for the adoption fund that had been created. The auction was not successful. No one made any bids. After pulling the auction, a co-worker asked if I still had the quilt; they knew someone that was interested in purchasing it. A week later, I was given more than I had hoped to raise with the auction for the quilt. However, I was then told that the buyer wanted the mom-to-be to also have the quilt! So all the money raised was deposited into the adoption account AND the mom got this quilt. It is one of my favorites!
