My First Quilt

When I was in my early 20's, my roommate received a quilt from her mother as a wedding gift. The quilt was made from clothing her daughter had worn from favorite pjs to the dress she wore for her graduation. I still remember the tears and laughter as she recognized each piece of fabric and the memories. I decided at that time that I would like to use this idea one day when my children got married. But I first had to learn to quilt. I took classes from a local quilt shop and this is the quilt I made during those classes. So this is the first of many quilts I've made. It is also the only quilt I've kept. All others have been gifts.
