Planes and Pinwheels

I made this quilt for my newest grandson, and finished it on his 9-month birthday. I used the “Sky Dreams” pattern by Country Quilter (designed by Claire Oehler). Free motion quilting was done on my Brother Duetta 4500d. I used stars and clouds connected with loop-the-loops and created the border pattern from the airplane appliqué. I had a lot of fabric left over from the layer cake, so I made a double sided quilt using large pinwheel blocks on the back.
