Sea Glass Quilt

Sea Glass Quilt

Update: My friend finished quilting on her longarm and it is bound. I can't get the full picture to load (sides are cut off), but this gives you an idea of finished quilt. This Sea Glass Quilt is a customer quilt for my friend's longarm business. I used my Accuquilt studio orange peal die (14" long) to cut out these flower petals. The customer supplied these non cotton 60" wide fabrics. The interfacing I used to turn the orange peels inside out (to give a finished edge, Like Jenny does in her orange peel tutorial) wouldn't stick to the non cotton fabric. I would normally sew these on with my domestic machine first, but the quilt top is so large. We had to pin the orange peels to the top. We had fun placing the orange peels in the flower pattern. My friend is going to stitch the petals down with her longarm. The quilt has to be done before Christmas. We made the quilt bigger than the pattern 100" x 110"
