Tipsy Tumbling Minions
I work as an admin for a team of men who mostly wear yellow high-vis shirts and blue workpants. I call them 'Minions'. My boss' wife is due to have their second child in June. I was watching MSQC tutorials over the Christmas break and loved the Tipsy Tumbling pattern. Then on NYE, the minion charm pack was the daily special. Voila!! a project was born. Using white seersucker and cotton in my stash, I made up the blocks, staggered the background fabric in a chequerboard style, making sure not to put too many blue/yellow or orange squares together. The blocks stitched together really quickly and now I have to sit back to wait to see if the baby is a boy or girl. I'll bind it in blue for a boy and either yellow or orange for a girl. I found a minions cot panel which will be perfect for the back of the quilt. I'm way too impatient to learn how to quilt properly, so will pass this to a quilting friend to quilt it for me.
