Sunflowers and Boston Terrier wall Hanging

Sunflowers and Boston Terrier wall Hanging

Recently I transferred some Boston Terrier designs from tee shirts and appliqued them to golf type shirts with collars for a friend. I used the sleeves to make her some mask but then decided to also use the back of the tees to make a wall hanging. Using my Mom's quote " Waste not want not" I found some on sale embroidery software for the dogs and really this was a experiment. I have software embroidery designs for the "The 12 Days of Christmas" which include the words for each design and day. I been wanted to make that into a quilt for ME for a long time but unsure how to put these heavy embroidery designs on material with batting for a quilt. Jenny posted recently making a quilt using batting that has one side that that is fusible. A idea formed. I thought why not sew the backs of the tee together and fuse it to the batting and then put my Pellon on the back of batting . Hoop it for the designs by centering it in each sewn tee square. Here is the result. The back is sunflowers used a panel for that so reversible if my friend so chooses.
