Flag in a Flag

When July 4th is in the near future I know it's time to pull out and hang my favorite patriotic quilt. Among the reasons I like it is the simplicity of the design and the wide variety of fabrics used. Because of the very narrow strips, the blocks were paper pieced and then assembled into a 3 x 3 square. Borders were added and then it was hand quilted.
