Spooky Cats

I was looking for a simple block that I could use with my stash of Halloween themed fabric and found the cat block in Block magazine, Spring issue of Vol.4. I created enough blocks for both this quilt and a table runner. I made one small change in the "Pins and Paws" quilt pattern in that I didn't use 2 different colors for backgrounds. Instead, the backgrounds in my blocks were different patterns in grey - one with storm clouds and the other with spider webs. To give the quilt a more modern feel, I used closely spaced vertical channel machine quilting.
