Loving Paisley
This was my first quilt. I used one of Jenny's tutorials to construct. I started it in Panama City, FL while on vacation in Oct. of 2013. The materials used came from Cookeville, TN, where my daughter in law helped to pick it out. just yard goods of different fabrics. The colors that we had just painted our bedroom the summer before on a remodel. So now I have the color for the beginning. Next was choosing an easy pattern. I watch a lot of youtube and Jenny Doan's patterns. Now cutting and tools, which my sister in law had gotten me involved in making a pocketbook. She helped me learning to cut and measure. I bought the fabric to put together at joanns in PCB and it was white background with gold saying of French La' mour remembrances (still don't know what it says) so now piecing was beginning. Love sayings, or love letters? It was to cold to go fishing and had storms so I sewed and pressed squares. Bought more fabrics of paisley gold and beige for the backing and binding. Taking care of all the blocks of course I made way to many and the pattern was "Falling Charms" . Played with placing and picking the right placements. My daughter is a interior designer and she was the one with the perfect placements. Ok so its together now and I had Peggy Mccaffery to do the machine quilting who lives in Brevard, NC. So this now is returned to me on Feb 13, 2014. Later I realized the quilting design looked like my husband initials and name is Cynthia, so it was loops writing of JC and C's. the Lamour fabric from Joanns and paisley backing wyndam is how I named it "Loving Paisley and I really do like paisley. With lots of squares made, I made European shams and have sewns more colors of beige onto the charm squares. I have finished 3 more quilts and will be putting them on the "quilts by me"
