Baby Quilt

I found this fabric as part of a kit for a baby quilt at a local quilt shop (Bolt in Cornish, Maine) and fell in love with it. I spent a good 5 or 10 minutes trying to figure out a good reason to buy it, being a bachelor I don't have a huge need for baby quilts. Then I remembered that one of my co-workers had just recently announced that she was pregnant. Perfect! That was just the reason I needed to pick up the fabric. I'm very pleased with the outcome of the quilt. This is also the first project that I quilted as well. I used a walking foot for the machine quilting. I feel that completing the quilt all the way from piecing to quilting to binding makes it all the more special.
