Saddles and Stars

Had the saddle fabric left over from kiddie clothing days; picked out a perfect black-on-black paisley and a silver-gray that evokes etched silver. I was new at quilting, and didn't want to use the E. Burns geese ruler, and had to figure out how to make them, since I was making the quilt at a different scale than the pattern.
