Holiday Pillows
Like a lot of people, I took up sewing in 2020. First masks, then I started playing around with fabric postcards. But these are my first "real" project, holiday pillows in the Ribbon Star pattern, inspired by Misty's tutorial. The snowflake one was a Christmas present for my brother, and I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. The poinsettia was for my mother, who lives with me, and that one didn't turn out as well. The only space to set up my sewing machine is the dining room table, and it wasn't easy to work on it without her catching me! If I'd been able to take my time I think I could have lined everything up better. But it doesn't look too bad from across the room, and both recipients liked their pillows a lot. (My brother even hinted that he'd like a poinsettia pillow, too!)
