Stars and Stripes

I purchased this Eagle Panel with my father in mind. His is a veteran of the Navy and loves Eagles. I had it for quite a while wanting to create just the perfect quilt for him with it. I watched Jenny's tutorial and the light bulb came on! I did a little altering the pattern, and this is what I came up with. The background is a woven tiny flag fabric, It was perfect and he loved it! My father has since passed, and we draped the quilt over him. I was honored. I told him when I gave it to him, that when ever he covered himself with it, it's like me giving him a hug. He repeated that to me many times. It is now hugging my mother.
