Christmas Sentiment

I made this simple eight point star quilt by cutting 10" squares into 5" squares, then creating HSTs to create the stars. I used the cream colored background fabric, cutting it into 5" squares also. The sashing is simply a solid colored cotton fabric and the backing fabric is a soft fleece for extra warmth. I hand quilted the outline of each star point and machine quilted in the ditch of each sashing strip. It turned out real warm and cozy. The grandkids love using it.
