Daisy Snowball

Daisy Snowball

I found a charm pack of daisy prints that I really liked. I did a little research and found a snowball pattern that would let those prints shine. After a lot of rearrangement on my design floor, I found an arrangement I liked. I particularly liked the turquoise/brown/white combination, with the pops of yellow - it's all very cheerful. After putting it together, I tried hand quilting daisies in the larger yellow and daisy blocks. Some of them were drawn with chalk and then stitched, others were just free handed. Needless to say this took time - both to do it and get inspired to finished. Fast forward several years. I have grown tired of walking around this pile in my sewing room, so I finish off the last of the large daisies. I don't want to hand quilt any more of this, so I sit down at my DSM and finish quilting the rest by machine. It's done, finally, about four years after I started.
