Scottish Frenzy

When I saw the daily special from MSQC for the Scottish Charm layer cake, I knew exactly who to make a quilt for. My choir director and his wife had lost their little Scottie dog about 3 years ago, but he's still in their hearts. This was meant for them. I ordered the layer cake and some yardage in black and white to fit the suggested Four Patch Frenzy pattern. I also ordered a little extra yardage to make a border. The package arrived while I was out of town, but the following weekend I put everything together. I found a backing with the same rich black color, and took it to my longarming friend to get quilted. She used a paw print pattern in taupe, that allows it to show in both the white and black areas. I'll be gifting this soon. I know they will love it.
