Sashiko Tote Bag

I designed and made this tote bag as an Xmas gift for a frind of mine who lives in CA. This was my first attempt at machine sashiko stitching. The tote bag was stitched on my regular sewing machine, (I don't have one of those sashiko sewing machines!) and was fun to make once I figured out which thread and stitch length to use. I designed the bag to be simple yet complementary of the sashiko stitching. The bag measures 12"H x 12.5"W with 8" drop handles (to top edge).
