My Niece's Quilt

This quilt was made for my niece as a surprise Christmas gift. Last year she spent a semester in Chile working with children. The silhouette is raw edge applique & taken from a photo of her & a little girl in Chile. The bible verse is hand embroidered. The quilting was done with my walking foot with inspiration from Jacquie Gerings Craftsy classes. The back is pieced. I really enjoyed working on this quilt and my niece's reaction to it made it all worth while.
