Double Slice

I watched the MSQC Double Slice tutorial and decided I had to try it. One thing that Jenny didn't warn me about was making sure that I sewed on the same side of each set, lol. Some of my pieces are going in the wrong direction. This is MY quilt, it is on my bed and it makes me smile every time I see it. My husband also really likes the way it looks in our room.

The fabric I had for the back wasn't large enough so I took another piece and created the Double Slice pattern on the back but put the border fabric as a strip down the middle.

It took 2nd Place at the 2014 Eastern New Mexico State Fair.
